Summer Devotional June 21st, 2017

Ecclesiastes 7:10:  “Do not say, ‘Why were the old days better than these?’  For it is not wise to ask such questions.”

Don’t live in the past!  Quit beating yourself up over something long over.  You can’t change it.  You can only move forward.  Each day is a new opportunity to live God’s fullest potential for your life.  Don’t waste one more minute of it!  It’s an insult to God to waste what He has given.  Carpe Diem!

  1. I really needed to be reminded of that this morning. So many things in my life have changed recently, but I will NOT live in the past but go forward boldly into the future knowing God has wonderful plans for me. Thank you!

Thanks for this reminder. At times i get caught up in the past and forget that i have been forgiven of my sins and now i need to remember that and move on. I need to thank Him for all that he has done in my life and thru me.

This is VERY appropriate for what I have been struggling with for last month or so – Thanks for sending this out – especially today!

  4. Antoinette (Toni) Leonard says:

I think all of us tend to be guilty of some degree of wishing or wanting a part of the past but I realize that we must go on forward for God’s plan for us and leave the past behind because there is so much for us that we can miss out on if we’re stuck in the past. I look forward to what is in store for me ahead.

  5. Lissette says:

Forgive me, dear God, for letting my passion for your Kingdom and your character get pushed to the side. Awaken me each morning with a sense of passion for your work and your will for that day. Father, I want to be a passionate seeker, please make me restless for your Kingdom as my home.

  6. Marilyn says:

Thank you, I really needed to hear that today. Onward Christian Soldiers. Onward I go!
