Summer Devotional July 28th, 2017

2 Corinthians 1:4:  “[God of all comfort] who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”

We all know someone who is suffering or worse off than ourselves.  Be the ear they desperately need and the prayer they won’t ask for.

Thank you God for this day. Thank you for all that lies ahead. Thank you that I don’t have to face today or tomorrow with doubts about my basic values and without a sense of your will for my life. Stir in me a love for your will and your word so that nothing can make me stumble. Empower me by your Spirit and guide me by your truth so that I may more perfectly reflect your character.

How appropriate a bible verse for what I have been going through this week – Thanks for sending this and for all that you do.
