Special Prayer Request For My Dying Cat

Hey All!

I have a special prayer request.

One of my cats is dying. She was diagnosed with renal disease almost 3 years ago. We’ve been giving her fluids twice a week, but the last few weeks she has gone down hill fast. She is skin and bones, and her body is giving out.

She is my oldest’s daughter’s cat. We’ve had her 7 years. She was adopted from the humane society.

Pray she is not in pain, God loves her when she gets there, and that my daughter’s heart will heal.

Many thanks!

  1. I certainly understand your pain and loss. Your family will be in my prayers. I know how hard it is to give up an animal, as they are members of the “family”. God bless you… Thanks for all you do for us.

  2. I certainly will. My sister’s cat just passed away a few days ago. She was a tiny rescue and my sister and nephew are crushed. Her cat brother used to harass her so but now he’s going through the house looking for her. We’re 4 hours apart so I never got to meet her besides videos and pictures. Keep them in your prayers, if you could and I will pray for yall.

  4. I’m so sorry. God loves us and all the
creatures He created. Please let your daughter know we feel her sadness and that God loves her sweet kitty also. Please give her a hug from all of us. I lost my sweet 13 year old dog in December and still miss her every day, so I know what you’re going through. Prayers.

  5. I’m so sorry your family is having to go through this. Our hearts hurt when we lose a loved one whether it is human or animal. Try to remember the fun times and talk about your kitties funny antics. No one can take our good memories away. Hugs!

  6. Hi!!

I just had to put down my 14 year old mini Australian shepherd and my 18 year old calico cat. So hard to do but I knew their quality of life was not good for them.

Thoughts and prayers for your family as you navigate through this.

  7. So very sorry to hear about your cat. A few months ago we had to have our cat that we had for 13 years put down. It is a heartbreaking experience but I could not let her suffer anymore. Losing a pet is like losing a part of your family, I still mourn for her. She was a stray that just showed up all skin and bones at our balcony. We had 13 wonderful years with her which I am very grateful for but letting her go was very difficult altho I know it was the right thing to do.
Please don’t let her suffer, I will pray for her.

  8. If she is skin and bones then she is in pain. Please take her to the vet and they will ease her transition to the rainbow bridge. Your dd can even hold her as she drifts off to sleep. It is one of the hardest things that I have ever had to do. My Thelma Lou had to go that way, she was almost 20 years old. I got to hold her and give her lovings till she passed. It was the best for her and I am sure your dd wants that for her kitty too. God understands her pain and will give her the strength that she needs. God bless and my prayers are with your family I at this hard time.

  9. So sorry to hear this. I’ve lost animals over the years and it never gets easy. Tell your daughter the cat is only a memory away and remember often. Praying for all.

  11. Praying for your sweet kitty and family. We had a similar experience but our Kitsap was 14. Everyone got to say goodbye which really helped the kids. God’s blessings to you.

  12. So sorry to hear this…. we lost our 17year old kitty a few months ago with kidney issues. It just come to the point where their system cannot filter out all the toxins and it starts to affect their brain and cognition. Hard decision, but we let her go as we didn’t want her to suffer. Tell your daughter that because Heaven is a wonderful place and God gives us the desires of our hearts…. I believe we’ll see our beloved pets again.

    Blessings, Sue

  13. I am a cat person, who at one time had 8 of them when I was younger. Losing a friend like a cat is hard to take, just be glad you had the cat for so long. I will say a prayer for your daughter and her companion and pray for healing for both.

  15. I empathize with you. I too have an elderly cat I adopted over 19 years ago with renal disease. She is also in similar conditions. It is a hard decision to say when it is time, but I will not let her suffer. I hope you can take away the suffering and give her a peaceful last breath. Hold her with lots of love and soft words.
