“I Am the Lord’s Servant”

Luke 1:38  This is Mary’s response when told by the angel Gabriel she’s going to bear the baby Jesus.

“May it be to me as you have said,” she concludes.

This is my prayer for today.

  1. Amazing prayer. It’s the prayer we should pray every day.

I’m sitting here, hesitant to pray this also.

In the early autumn, I prayed for God to deal with my pride. This is another prayer God loves to answer, and he started showing me areas of my pride. In the last week, it’s been painful! God really wants to take pride out of me! On Thursday, when I realized that God is showing me an opportunity to put pride aside, I did begin to feel better. It still hurts, but I’m able to look beyond where I am in the pain to what I know will exist spiritually on the other side. And I’m able to see my feelings now as what they are…primarily pride.

Okay, I’m going to pray the same prayer you did.

We’d better be ready for what God sends. Well, there’s no way to envision what Go will send. He surpasses our most thoughtful mind. Praise God!
