Summer Bible Study: WordGo’s Study of James: Week 1, Day 2: James 1:19-27

SUMMARY OF JAMES 1:19-27

James offers advice for living: everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Accept God’s word, which can save you.

Do what the Word says. You will be blessed for doing so and find freedom in God’s word. It’s good to look after orphans and widows, and to keep yourself from being polluted by the world.

QUESTIONS FOR JAMES 1:19-27:

4) All of them in truth. Slow to anger, slow to speak, and listen more. We probably all need to do that more. I do because I can get angry quickly and say what I don’t mean.

5) It gets me in the Word again, and I’m trying to stay rooted this summer. It keeps God fresh in my memory, so I can be more Godly every day.

6) There are so many ways. Donate your money and your time; volunteer at church and where needed. Keep an out for those that need help. Live out God’s word for others to follow and perhaps turn to Him.

CONCLUSIONS TO WORDGO JAMES 1:19-27

I like these short lessons. Ideally, there would be more meat here, but it’s the summer. I’m doing this so I can keep reading God’s word and grow with Him. A healthy perspective helps.

  1. Is there a way you can pass along the study of James materials through your blog. I have the app on my phone but the cell phone screen is to small to read for some of us old folks. I use my laptop for BSF and your blog. I talked to WordGo support and they indicated that a desktop version is on the drawing boards, but will be a while away. Thanks and God Bless You
