Summer Devotional May 19th, 2017

Jeremiah 29:11:  “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

As some of you know, I’ve been on a job search lately.  A job that works for my family and yet affords me an opportunity to do more with my life.  On Wednesday, I received an offer for an accounting position for a start-up company.  Part-time to start.  More responsibilities as the company grows.  It pays little; but I’ll learn a ton!  I’m very excited.

This verse came to mind to comfort all those on the search for a job or a new career or direction in life.  Find comfort in God who knows all and will lead you wherever He wants you in His time.  Trust Him.  That’s all He asks of you.

  4. Joining a start up company is a lot of fun – I’ve done it twice. You get to know everything about the company from the get go which will be invaluable to your job. The down side to it is that you, or at least I did, may get too invested in the operation – feeling almost like it’s your company – and you end up investing more time in the job than intended. Hopefully, if you get the job you’ll be more mindful of your time. God Luck and God Bless! BTW – love reading you BSF Lessons after I complete mine – you have provided extra insight MANY times.

  5. Congratulations! May our God be with you and bless you richly.

  7. Job hunting is the worst ever to go thru
I chose my profession because I was sooo tired of job interviews for a job I knew I could do
