THE BEST SPECIFIC BIBLE COMMENTARIES
- Spurgeon’s Treasury of David. This is a commentary of Psalms that can also double as a prayer book so beautifully is it written. Find it here: http://archive.spurgeon.org/treasury/treasury.php
- Keil & Delitzsch Commentary on the Old Testament. Written in the 1800s, this is a classic on the Old Testament. Find it here: https://www.studylight.org/commentaries/kdo.html
- Baker Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament. Well-organized and easy to read, this classic explanation of the New Testament included input from famous Bible scholars as well. Find it here: http://bakerpublishinggroup.com/series/baker-exegetical-commentary-on-the-new-testament
- Book by book commentaries can be found here: https://www.challies.com/best-commentaries-on-each-book-of-the-bible/ I have not tried any of these, but I wanted to include this for those of you studying one book.
