I’m sure many of you have asked yourself this question many times: What is the best way to study the Bible?
There are definitely many opinions on the matter (I even offered up mine). However, I found another popular method I wanted to share with you all called the SOAP method. SOAP stands for:
- Scripture — Read a Bible passage
- Observation — What is the Bible verse telling you
- Application — Ask God what the Bible verse means in your life
- Prayer — Pray whatever comes to mind
This is very similar to BSF’s methodology for studying the Bible.
At the end of the day, it’s what works for you. God truly doesn’t care how you study the Bible, as long as you do. Happy Learning!
