Psalm 3:3: “But you are a shield around me, O Lord; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head.”
The Lord is our protection from the pain and hurt of this world. Recently, I’ve been hurt by a friend who was too afraid to tell me the truth. But I took refuge in God’s shield around me–in the One True God who lifts up my head and shines upon my face. Nothing else matters. Nothing.
