Jesus must rise from the dead in order for us to be justified before God. Jesus’s resurrection is God’s stamp of approval on Jesus’s sacrifice for us all. God accepts the sacrifice for us. We can now rise as well! If God had not accepted Jesus’ sacrifice, it would be eternal damnation for us all.
