Please remind me through your Spirit of your nearness and your care. In my moments of struggle and doubt, please make your presence known. It is so comforting to know that my words, thoughts, and emotions are all presented to you through your Holy Spirit. Father, there are times that I feel inadequate and unworthy to approach you. Thank you for giving me the assurance that you will always hear me even when I can’t find the words to say.
Father, I know you love me. You have done so much to bless and save me. I deliberately place the cares, the worries and concerns of my heart in your hands… Father, I also want to thank you for the many ways you have blessed me over my life…Now, dear father, please fill my heart with your Spirit and my mind with the sense of your presence and peace.
Search me, O God, I know that my heart is not always pure and my ways are far from perfect. Search me, O God, for I need your purifying presence. Search me, O God, for I want you to set the course and the destination of my life.
Galatians 5:13: “You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.”
On this day of celebration of Independence, let’s not forget who grants us independence: God. With our freedoms we are to do good, not harm. We are to remember others and remember those who sacrificed for our freedoms. Christ gives us the ultimate freedom in him. On this side of heaven, God grants us individual freedoms to be used for His good. Don’t take those (or Him) for granted.
Matthew 21:22: “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
Just a reminder God desires faith first. Faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. Faith in Him. And faith in God’s will for your life. Believe with all your heart in God. Ask with all your heart for what He desires. Ask for miracles. Ask for big things. Ask for little things. Ask, ask, and keep asking. God hears. God answers. He promises. He never fails.
Ecclesiastes 7:10: “Do not say, ‘Why were the old days better than these?’ For it is not wise to ask such questions.”
Don’t live in the past! Quit beating yourself up over something long over. You can’t change it. You can only move forward. Each day is a new opportunity to live God’s fullest potential for your life. Don’t waste one more minute of it! It’s an insult to God to waste what He has given. Carpe Diem!
Colossians 3:12: “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.”
Focus on every word here: We are God’s chosen people to be by His side for all of eternity, thus being holy and dearly loved by Him. As such, we need to be compassionate towards others, show kindness, be humble and gentle and patient. If we could just remember this one verse throughout our day, imagine how our lives and the lives of those around us would be changed. He would be the center. And those around us would be drawn toward Him as we shine God in all that we do.
