How Many Bible Studies Are There in BSF?

There are currently 10 Bible studies that BSF, or Bible Study Fellowship, rotates through. They are:

  1. Matthew
  2. Genesis
  3. Acts & Letters of the Apostles
  4. People of the Promised Land (Part 1)
  5. People of the Promise: Kingdom Divided (Part 2)
  6. John
  7. Revelation
  8. Isaiah
  9. Romans
  10. The Life of Moses

For 2022/2023, we are doing People of the Promise: Kingdom Divided (Part 2). This will be the first time BSF has offered this study, so many are excited (including me!). It’s the only one I have not done.

BSF usually rotates studies by doing a New Testament book one year and then an Old Testament book/study the next year.

    1. Our leadership announced a couple of weeks ago that it will be John – but I have not seen that in print confirmed by BSF
      yet.

      1. I am a BSF STL. John was confirmed to be the next study in April of last year.

In addition, this information is not quite accurate. People of the promise land kingdom divided is actually people of the promised land part 3 now. The original people of the promised land will be split into two parts in future revisits. There will also be a part 4 that covers the exile and post exilic periods. This information can be found in April edition of the BSF newsletter.

In addition, it is most likely that the Isaiah study is being discontinued due to Isaiah being a part of the people of the promised land study, but this is not yet confirmed.

      2. BSF announced that John would be next years study in the April newsletter of last year.

In addition, that same newsletter also made a couple of announcements. Namely that this years study is actually People of the promised land 3; the study that was people of the promised land 1 is being split into two parts in the future. In addition, there will be a people of the promised land 4 covering the exilic and post-exilic period.

It is also likely, though not confirmed by BSF, that Isaiah is going to be discontinued due to it being a part of PP3

      1. John (in the Christian Testament) confirmed for the upcoming year 2023-2024.

    1. It seems fairly likely that Ezekiel would be part of PPL4 (exilic and post-exilic). I’m making an educated guess that this study will happen in the 2025-26 year.
