Summer Bible Study: WordGo’s Philippians: Confident in Christ: Week 2, Day 4: Philippians 1:19-26

Summary of Philippians 1:19-26

Paul is confident that, whether he lives or dies, Christ is glorified.

Questions for Philippians 1:19-26

9) Paul expects to be delivered from his imprisonment, and Christ will be exalted in his body, whether he lives or dies.

10) Paul would love to die so that he can be with Christ, but he knows it is better if he goes on living in order to further the Word of God and help his fellow Philippians. Paul concludes he will be freed and will remain with his comrades so that they may boast in Jesus because of his help.

11) I love his internal debate since we all have these over many things in our lives. I really don’t fear death. I, like Paul, believe I have not accomplished God’s mission yet for my life here on Earth, and when I die, it will be accomplished. And, I know heaven awaits me with open arms! Internal debate can be quite productive in these matters, and external debate, too. You gain a new perspective!
