Summary of Psalm 1

Blessed is those who delight in God’s law and who meditates on it day and night. That person prospers. The wicked does not. The Lord watches over the way of the righteous.

Summary of Psalm 19

The heavens and earth proclaim God’s  glory to the world.  The sun is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber. God’s law is perfect and trustworthy. It brings joy and are more precious than gold and sweeter than honey. By keeping God’s law, there is great reward. Keep me from sinning.

Questions for Psalm 1 and 19

3 ) Images that come to mind are that of God’s creation: the sun, the moon, the heavens, and the stars. Spiritual music comes to mind. Music that is soft and uplifting.

4 ) The heavens declare God’s glory via the skies and nature. His Word reveals what is good and right. It is more precious than gold, sweeter than honey. It is perfect, pure, and radiant.

5 ) I am about to embark on a major goal that I believe is from God. I pray it is, and these psalms give me hope to delight in Him and His creation when I see it.

I love how God prospers His people; those who study His word and meditate on Him; those who see the heavens as His gift to us. What a gift to have the Holy Spirit within us, guiding us and bringing us closer to God each and every day, each and every step, each and every breath. How magnificent is He!
