Summer Bible Study Announcement!

Hey all!

I hope you have had a great summer so far!

I’m announcing my summer Bible Studies!

Starting NEXT WEEK, on June 30th, I’ll be doing Philippians 1: Confident in Christ for 2 weeks via the WordGo app that BSF provides. This is a two-week course that will run through July 11th.

The second summer Bible study I will be doing is Philippians 2: Joy in Christ via WordGo, which will start July 28th and run through August 8th. This should set us up nicely for when BSF picks up again!

Remember to download the app to follow along!

Take care and can’t wait to share with you all!

Summer Bible Study: WordGo’s Study of Wisdom: Week 3, Day 4: Proverbs 28 and 29

Summary of Proverbs 28

Righteous are bold as a lion. Those who seek God understand what is right. Blessed are those who tremble before God. A faithful person will be richly blessed. Those who trust in the Lord will prosper. Those who give to the poor will lack nothing.

Summary of Proverbs 29

Discipline your children, and they will give you peace. They will bring you the delights you desire. The lowly in spirit gain honor. Whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe. The righteous care about justice.

Questions for Proverbs 28 and 29

9) Leaders maintain order, support the poor, and righteous rulers cause their people to rejoice. Unsure. I don’t think I lead at all in my community.

10) Work hard and give to the poor. Be discerning. A faithful person will be richly blessed. Unsure what will change. Hopefully, God’s will be done.

11) When the righteous triumph, there is great elation; but when the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding. I think people know when good people are in charge and bad people are. Our lives are better when our leaders look out for our best interests.

Conclusions to Wordgo Study of Wisdom Proverbs 28 and 29

Lots of words on authority and power. Only fearing the Lord leads to wisdom.

How to Choose the Best Bible Study

Choosing a Bible study can definitely be challenging. There are hundreds to choose from, so how do you know which one is right for you? Below, I’ll examine some tips you can use to try to narrow your search to finding a great Bible study, and contact me with your questions!

TIPS TO CHOOSE THE BEST BIBLE STUDY

Decide if You Want to Go Solo or in a Group

There are many excellent Bible studies, and many are broken down to ones you can do alone or in a group. Decide first if you want a group setting where you can learn from others, or you prefer to do one on your own.

Decide How Long You Want to Commit to a Bible Study

Many people love studying the Bible in-depth and doing prescribed Bible studies, but they can’t commit to a long time frame. Decide if you want a short Bible study, or a long one like Bible Study Fellowship that runs all school-year long.

Decide On Preferred Format

Bible studies in general come in two formats: Print and Video. The preferred format for your Bible study is largely a personal preference and can depend on what type of learner you are.

Commit

Once you’ve narrowed down your Bible study criteria, it’s time to commit to one. In truth, God just wants you to show up. Don’t worry about the rest; He’s got it!

Studying the Bible is one of the best ways to grow your faith and grow deeper with God and Christ. It doesn’t take a lot of time, and you can even do it in 10-minute segments throughout your day. Do your research, and find the perfect Bible study for you. The invest the time, and you’ll be amazed at what God does.
